Being overweight is a constant problem for many of us nowadays. We all want to lose weight and if we can achieve it fast, so the better. We are living in a very fast paced world, so we want everything right now. Same principle applies for weight loss. We are bombarded with various fast acting diet pills and programs that should make us fit in 3 days, or in 7 days. Every day we hear of new miracle pills and products that are ‘the one’ for many of us. Red wine has started to be considered such a miracle pill these days as well.
While previously red wine was simply considered a nice light alcoholic drink, nowadays we hear of its healing properties, of resveratrol and all its fast actions on our bodies. How much of it is true though?
Of course it would be great to simply be on a wine diet every day and keep all our health and diet worries away at all times. But how much should we drink a day? Is one glass enough? Maybe we need three glasses or maybe being drunk is the way to go?
The truth is, red wine is no miracle cure. It has some healing properties and resveratrol is the real deal, however it only helps us keep fit, it does not cure by itself. It doesn’t eliminate our need of actually taking care of our bodies and losing weight the traditional way, without expecting for a miracle solutions. At the moment, proper eating habits and a bit of exercise is still the best way to lose that tummy fat.
So for now just take red wine for what it is: an alcoholic drink that when consumed in moderation can help us a bit. Most of all it is a drink that has to be enjoyed in a romantic setting, or with friends, after a meal or with a meal. And as with any alcoholic beverages, moderation is important. It does have less calories than your favorite cocktail but it’s not a miracle cure for weight loss. It is simply something to be enjoyed, just as it has been for centuries.
One of the best ways to enjoy red wine is to pour it in your glass slowly from a crystal decanter. Visit my site to learn more about the history of decanters and learn about the various brands such as the famous Riedel or Baccarat.
